- Vuyyuru is famous for Veeramma Thalli Thirunallu, held every February from Bhishma Ekadasi. It began in the 16th century under the Vijayanagara Empire and gathers hundreds of villages.
- History
- Vuyyuru was part of the Satavahana dynasty in the first century CE, and around 1000 CE some Cholas settled here. It later became part of the Kakatiya dynasty.
